Newsletter Dated 29th February 2008
Dear Parents
PARENT CONSULTATION MEETINGS
Just to remind you that these will be taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday 18th and 19th March. Both sessions will run between 4.30 & 7.30 pm. On Tuesday 18th March, Mrs Rizvi and Miss Clarke will be holding afternoon appointments instead of evening ones as their children are still part-time. Appointment sign-up sheets will be displayed outside classrooms or in the walkway for Reception classes, as from 10th March.
MARIE CURIE DAFFODILS
We are again selling these in school. Donations of £1 are suggested for this worthy cause.
WORLD BOOK DAY
As previously stated, next Thursday 6th March, is World Book Day. Year 1 and Reception pupils are invited to dress up as their favourite story book character on that day. i.e. not from a television programme or cartoon.
In addition, it is suggested that the children bring a copy of a book with that individual in it and be prepared to say why they like their character.
As Year 2 pupils will be dressing up for their Medieval Day the following week, they are asked just to bring in their favourite book.
SPRING COMPETITIONS
These will be taking place on the last day of term, Friday 4th April. As this is after Easter, we have decided to rename them as ‘Spring’ Competitions. The categories will be:
a) Spring Hat
b) Spring Garden and
c) Decorated Egg.
Every child is encouraged to take part. Prizes will be awarded for each category in every class.
Yours sincerely
