Newsletter Dated 22nd April 2008
Dear Parents
We are writing to confirm that the school WILL be open this Thursday, 24th April as normal.
BOOK BAGS
Please can you ensure that your child’s book bag has a minimum of additional identity items attached to it. Some are being brought into school with so many toys, key rings or labels hanging from the bag that it is impossible to fit it in and then close the child’s respective classroom drawer. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
HELICOPTER VISIT
As part of Year 2’s topic this term of flight, we have arranged for a helicopter to fly over the school and land on the Common on the afternoon of Friday 2nd May – this is with the Parish Council’s permission. The company concerned has made very successful visits to other schools in the area and a leaflet is to be distributed to each child providing more information. A further letter regarding this is being sent to the parents of Mrs Rizvi’s class.
WHOLE SCHOOL MONTAGE PHOTOGRAPH
A proof of the Montage photograph produced from those pictures taken in the Autumn term is being circulated. You are under no obligation to purchase but if you wish to order one of these, please return the proof and the monies by Friday 2nd May.
WEBSITE REMINDER
As specified in our letter heading above, the school has a website on which are posted all newsletters, examples of the children’s work and other school related items. So if you are missing any information, you should be able to access this via www.tylersgreenfirst.ik.org. We are indebted to a parent, Dean Barnard, for maintaining this on the school’s behalf.
Dates for the events occurring during this term will be sent out in the next few days.
Yours sincerely
